Alternate Card Ideas!

For this card I stamped the main tile image using Soft Sea Foam Ink onto Soft Sea Foam Cardstock.  The four "tiles" were also stamped using Basic Gray and Soft Sea Foam for the details, onto Whisper White Cardstock.  The main "frame" was from the largest die.  I cut out the center "star" and was left with this frame to go around the sentiment.

I cut out the second largest die from a piece of Whisper White cardstock, making a "window".  Inside the window I added the inside "star" from the largest die.  From a previous die cutting, I had saved the four little inserts and glued them into this shape pattern.  I had kept the scraps from Card 3, trimmed the edges neatly and made a border from the stamped images.

Once again, I cut the largest die using the three colours shown.  I cut out the "star" from the center of these die cuts and glued them to the card.  I cut out some of the tiles from a previously stamped project and placed them, popped up with dimensionals, in the center of the stars.

While stamping a previous card, Lisa Hardin made a great suggestion of using vellum instead of cardstock, as to not cover too much of the stamped card base image.  I love this effect.  Once again, the largest die was cut and I removed the inside "star" shape, leaving this "frame".  I used the Prized Peony stamp.  What a great way to frame your stamps.  On each little strip of the frame, I added pearls.

I loved using the vellum and wanted to make another card using a stamped card base background.  I had a bunch of pieces from the dies left over.  I combined them and put them together to make this card.

This card is a little more "modern".  I prestamped the card base with Memento Black onto Basic Black cardstock.  The image is faint and can be seen when the light hits it just so.  It's a little surprise!  I added the strips of paper in an unruly fashion and placed some extra "tiles" onto the card.  I needed something for the top right hand corner, so I coloured some pearls with the Basic Black Stampin' Blend.  I wonder if those rectangle strips could be used to somehow look like film?
