Black Ice Technique - Painted Poppies Stamp Set #151599

Let's use the Black Ice Technique to make some stunning cards.

Directions for the Black Ice Technique:

1. Using Stazon Ink, stamp your image onto foil cardstock.
2. Colour in the image if you choose, with Stampin' Blends markers.
3. Swipe the Stazon Ink on the outside edges of the foil, to create an antique look.  You can also do this on your cardbase as well.
4. Drag your Versamark Ink pad lightly across the foil, in one complete motion from top to bottom.
5. Emboss with Clear Embossing powder and a heat tool.
6. Assemble your card as prefered.

The Card:

The Measurements:

Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, folded in half

Layer 1 - 3 3/4 x 5

Layer 2 - 2 3/8 x 4 3/8

Mat Layer - 2 1/8 x 4 1/8

Foil Layer - 2 x 4

Card Insert - 4 x 5 1/4

The Directions:

1. Follow the Black Ice Technique above for the foil portion.
2. Emboss Layer 1 with the Tin Tile embossing folder.  Drag the Stazon ink across it to emphasize the raised portions.  Glue this layer to the center of the cardbase.
3. Glue Layer 2 to the center of the Tin Tile cardstock on the card base.
4. Adhere the vellum doily to the top right portion of the card base, over top of Layer 2.
5. Attach the Mat Layer to the foil piece.  Put dimensionals on the back of the Mat layer and attach it to the bottom right area of the card base.
6. Using Versamark, stamp your sentiment and emboss it with Whisper White embossing powder.  Bubble cut around the sentiment.  Attach it to the card base.
7. Lastly, place three pearls in the top left hand corner.

Optional Card Idea:

The Measurements:

Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, folded in half

Layer 1 - 3 1/2 x 4 3/4

Mat Layer - 2 7/8 x 4 1/8

Foil Layer - 2 3/4 x 4

Card Insert - 4 x 5 1/4

The Directions:

1. Follow the Black Ice Technique explained above on Gold Foil.
2. On the front of the cardbase, drag the Stazon Ink from the outside edges toward the inside of the card to give it the antique look.
3. Using Versamark ink, stamp the sentiment and emboss with Gold Embossing Powder and the Heat tool.  Bubble cut out the sentiment and place dimensionals on the back.
4. Punch out a piece from the center of the Mat Layer, using the Classic Label Punch.  Glue this onto the bottom right corner of the foil layer.
5. Attach the sentiment over top of the punched out piece.
6. Glue the Mat Layer to the foil layer and put dimensionals on the back.
7. Attach this matted foil layer to the center of Layer 1.
8. Glue all these layers to the cardbase.
9. Lastly, add some pearls to add some bling.
