The Cards:

Card 1:
Using your Stampin' Trimmer, cut down the one half of the card at the 1 3/4 inch mark.  Stop at the middle fold.  Cut away this rectangle portion from the card by cutting along the middle fold line.

Using the Label Me Lovely punch, punch out a portion from the top of the front flap, where the bird is going to be sitting in the nest.

Card 2:
I embossed the Soft Suede strips with the Pinewood Planks Embossing folder and then cut out the decorative edge using the die from the Birds & Branches Bundle #154107.

To make the wood grain stand out better, I rubbed the Soft Suede ink pad over top of the embossing.

Card Base - Crumb Cake Cardstock - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, folded in half
Strips - Soft Suede Cardstock - 2 pieces - 1 3/4 x 4 3/4

Layer 2 - Very Vanilla Cardstock - 2 5/8 x 3 1/8
