Only a few more days to get my deal of the week!

Today’s purpose for making cards...

  If you need some ideas for who to send a "paper hug" to, think about those people in your life whose name starts or ends with the letter "J".

Technique...

This set tends to lend itself to masculine cards.  I want to show a different slant to it.  Let's make some feminine looking cards using this set.

Card 1:

I decided to die cut the "gear" shape from Designers Series Paper.  I also used gold embossing on the vellum.

Card 2:

Similar to the first card, I die cut out the gear shapes from the DSP.  I also added DSP as the background to the card.  Using Terracotta Tile and the bright colours of the DSP make the card look girlie.

Card 3:

On this card I decided to add some vellum over top of the DSP to tone it down a little.  I also wanted to make a feminine card with a car on it.

Card 4:

I had the sunflower image cut out and ready to use on the first card, however I didn't end up using it.  I liked the layout of the first card, so made a card in similar fashion and used the sunflower.
