Today’s purpose for making cards...

My purpose for making my cards today is to have those cards on hand to just surprise people with!  Wouldn't you like to have someone tell you that you are lookin' good?!

Technique...

Today I am using the "cactus" stamp from Witty-cisms Stamp Set and using the Arrow Fold to create some points to match with the pointy and prickly cactus.

Measurements:

Card Base - 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, folded in half

• Put a pencil mark at 2 3/4 along the bottom edge of the card and along the two sides, at 2 1/8

DSP Layer - 4 x 5

• Put a pencil mark along the bottom of the DSP at 2 1/2

Card Insert - 4 x 5 1/4

Card 2

This "cactus" stamp lends itself well towards the masculine look.  I however, wanted to make a softer, feminine look with this stamp.  Did I accomplish that?

Card 3

I had an idea in my head to put a bunch of cacti on the front "v" section of the card.  I accomplished this by using the technique of masking the sections that were already stamped and stamping over top of the "mask".
