Today’s purpose for making cards...
Let's think about those people in our lives that you are really grateful for. Has someone inspired you, worked with you on a project, given you superior service?
What about someone who needs some cheering. Who is going through an extra rough time? Is there someone who is sick?
Why not send these people a nice "paper hug".
If you need some ideas, think about those people in your life whose name starts with the letter "C".
Today we are going to create some fun backgrounds using washi or masking tape and ink! I love how it creates some "imperfect" stripes for the Label Me Bold sayings to go onto. It is also a great technique for those mini cards that I have been featuring all week.
Tear off a piece of tape larger than the piece of cardstock that you are going to be using. Lay the tape onto the ink pad of choice, rubbing it with a bone folder or spoon to make sure the piece of tape is coated with ink. Place the tape where you want it on your piece of cardstock and give it a rub. Carefully, take the tape and you have a colourful stripe on your cardstock!

The Cards...
Card 1
This card reminds me of a rainbow shirt I used to have when I was younger! I like the simplicity of the Whisper White and three bold colours.

Card 2
I decided to try the White Craft Ink onto the Basic Black Cardstock. The striping didn't come out as brightly as I had hoped, but in the end, I do like the finished product!
Card 3
Check out this retro card! The colours, the dots, the combo with black...brings you back! ha ha
Card 4
After yesterdays card turning way too feminine, I still needed a card to send to our condo caretaker, Cliff! I think this card and coordinating box will do the trick. I'm going to put a gift card in there. I appreciate how much extra work he is having to put in with cleaning due to the pandemic.
Did you enjoy watching how I used to create the fun background look? Why not give this technique a try with the Label Me Bold Stamp set and 3x3 Envelopes?
