Today’s purpose...
I saw this on Jennifer McDonald’s Facebook today and I thought it was super inciteful.  Whether you ever get a thank you or recognition or a bonus, “Be good to people for no reason.”  Think of the legacy that simple act would leave. We have such a great opportunity to fulfill this every day by using our talents and creating cards.  #happymail #paperhug

Technique...

Today, we are going to make fun backgrounds using baby wipes and reinkers.  It makes a fun loose looking plaid that can’t be beat!

Fold a baby wipe into quarters and then in half again. Add a spot of reinker colours on the folded side. I think 3 colours are the easiest to control but four are possible. Starting on the grid paper swipe downward along your Cardstock, leaving streaks of the three colours behind. The trick is to not stop part way. Be mindful of your finger placement so they aren’t in the way.  Cover the Cardstock one direction, turn the Cardstock 90 degrees and swipe again to give a plaid look.

I’m also working from a card that I liked from Tina Gillespie.  The ideas and arrangement are stemming from this card..

Card 2
For this card, I had differing colours for the stitched nested label pieces.  I also used the flowers instead of the bees on this card.

Card 3
For this card, I decided to put the stitched nested label die pieces off centres instead of all aligned in the center of the Card. I also gave 4 ink colours a try instead of 3. Instead of stamped images, I used die cut ones.

Card 4
For this card, I decided to use the honeycomb Dies instead of the stitched nested label dies. I also cut apart the curved saying to make it fit my rectangle stitched die.

Aren’t these just the cutest cards?
What are your thoughts on the colour combos?
