Wild Card Wednesday - Honey Bee Bundle (#153792)

On Saturday, I had people on Facebook, give me the colours of their provincial/state flag.  I obviously wasn't thinking straight as the colours were very patriotic and dark.  I thought I would have a LOT of trouble creating with the Honey Bee Bundle, but in actual fact, I didn't!  It went well and new, fun colour combos were born!

Have a look at the video!

Technique...
For some of the cards, I'm going to use a baby wipe and re-inkers to create our own, multicoloured "ink pad"

The Cards...

Colour Combo Number 1:

Card 1:
Make sure to stamp your sentiment onto the Balmy Blue cardstock before running it through the die cutting machine using the Subtles Embossing Folder.  I ran it through straight once and then on an angle the second time.  I liked the "material" effect that it gives.

Card 2:
For this card, once again, I stamped the bee image onto the Balmy Blue paper and ran it through the die cutting machine using the Subtles Embossing Folder.

To make the multi-coloured bee, I used drops of re-inker on a folded baby wipe, as my "ink pad".  I stamped the bee stamp into the "ink pad" and then onto Whisper White paper.  I love the effect that the bee has!

Card 3:
I stamped the "bee image" into the re-inker "ink pad" and created the background on this piece of Whisper White cardstock.

On the card insert and envelope, I die cut out the bee shape and used it as a mask.  I held it in place with one hand and used a dauber to sponge colour over top of the mask.

Colour Combo Number 2

Card 4:
Just like I did with the bee die cut image on the last card, this time I used the "honeycomb" image and used the dauber over top to add colour to the background.

For the sentiment layer, I stamped off the butterfly many times until it was a very light colour.  I stamped the sentiment, full strength, over top of the bee image.

Card 5:
Once again, I created my own "ink pad" using this colour combination and stamped the bee hive stamp into the "ink pad" to create this multi coloured effect.

Colour Combo Number 3

Card 6:
I created my last "ink pad" using these re-inker colours and baby wipes.  I stamped the flower image into the "ink pad" and then onto Whisper White cardstock and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I decided to use the "bee hive" as a pot for the flowers.  I just turned it upside and voila!

Card 7:
For this last card, I went bold and boxy.  I used the "ink pad" to colour the bee image.

To get the honey comb multiple colours, I laid a piece of Whisper White cardstock onto the "ink pad" to create a paper with multiple colours on it.  I then die cut out the honey comb image out of the paper.

For the envelope, it accidentally fell into my Night of Navy ink pad.  It made a great big line on my envelope.  I didn't want to redo all my stamping so, I decided to let the envelope "fall into the ink pad" multiple times to give an effect.  I also sprayed on some colour from the Dark Night of Navy Stampin' Blend.

I could have kept going and going with these colours and this bundle.
