Thankfully Thinking of You Thursday - Ornate Style Bundle (#154119)

Today’s purpose for making cards...

Let's think about those people in our lives that you are really grateful for.  Has someone inspired you, worked with you on a project, given you superior service?  We are also thinking about those who need some cheering.  Who is going through an extra rough time?  Is there someone who is sick?  Depressed?  Why not send them a nice "paper hug".  If you need some ideas, think about those people in your life whose name starts with the letter "b".

Technique...

Today's colouring tool is the AQUA PAINTER.  We are going to do a watercolour style of painting using the aqua painter, along with the Ornate Style Bundle.

Card 1

I stamped the flower image using Memento Black ink, onto watercolour paper.  I then layered in the colour, making sure to have dark and light spots throughout.

Card 2

I embossed the flower image with White Embossing Powder and proceeded to do a monochromatic look with purples.

Card 3

I added colour to the Ornate Garden DSP using the aqua painter.  Make sure to not add a lot of water as the paper is quite thin and can't take too much liquid.  Don't have gold foil paper for the mat?  Make your own by embossing with gold onto the desired shape.

Card 4

I decided to do some "no line" watercolour painting.  I used Sahara Sand ink and stamped off three times before stamping the image onto the watercolour paper.  This makes the lines very faint.  I started dropping in colour for the flowers, mixing many colours onto the flowers and the petals.
